This past 26th of February, the story surprised and caused all of us grief. The master, the genius, the artist… Paco de Lucía had passed away in Mexico. The day after, his figure appeared in all the front-pages. Maybe the “most commented” one, was the one from El Mundo, thanks to Ricardo´s great illustration:
We could show plenty of pages about the guitarist’s death. But we want to focus on the immediate localization. Because in many newspapers the story went with another story which linked the deceased with its community. Great reaction. Great local journalism in El Comercio, El Correo, El Diario Montañés, Diario de Navarra, Ideal, La Verdad, Las Provincias, El Norte de Castilla, Sur...
