Deluge in Málaga

That´s how most of the people from Málaga remember what is probably one of the most impressive and shocking episodes in Málaga´s recent history. It happened 25 years ago. Witnesses to those floods remember how they experienced it." That´s how the story from the excellent multimedia special published by  Sur in order to recall the event. Ten years already

The title makes reference to the first tourney won by Rafa Nadal. It was the 15th of August, 2004.  El Mundo is aware of the anniversary and offers a complete double-page, with plenty of sources and an excellent infographics.

We liked them a lot. They are very different, but all have good information. The first one is from El Correo Gallego and the other three are from  La Vanguardia. To read, and to enjoy the worked graphics

 

Cold case

It´s been 10 years since a triple crime and it´s still a cold case. Diario de Burgos throws itself into this anniversary in order to remind the facts and show the investigation´s advances.

Soccer in the Congo

Diario de Burgos has been on the Outlook for two dates and has offered two interesting themes. The first one, maybe more evident: the President of the Autonomous Community celebrates thirteen years in his position and thirteen people judge his work. The second one, more beautiful: there are 100 days left before the Soccer World Cup and there is nothing better to remember that date than talking about a Soccer Championship that, since 1981, keeps going thanks to a missionary from Burgos.

There are others, but maybe the one that Eiffel conceived can hold that gold medal for being the most famous in the world. Today we talk about it because it has just turned 125 years old. La Vanguardia  has published this excellent double-page:

It happened… once ago

We like finding anniversaries in newspapers. Almost always, good stories. Almost always, a great presentation on the page. Almost always, good reading. We have saved a few recent ones. They are from El Correo, Diario de Burgos, Heraldo, La Voz de Galicia, El Diario Vasco, Las Provincias y Marca. 

It starts with a "p" and ends with an "o"

Yesterday we showed those pages that La Vanguardia dedicates to highlight the hundreds of anniversaries that will occur during 2014. Today we show the first one: The Little Prince turns 75.

We put under this heading two stories. The first one, from Las Provincias, tells us about an institution´s 70th anniversary; the second one, from El Correo, informs us about five “happy birthdays” in a geriatric residence.
